    Permanently delete the file

I have a laptop which i was formatted and installed the Windows7. I know that if the memory is not overrided then last data will be recoverable. I want to know is there any way by which last deleted records cant be recovered by any methods.

Also, deleting files only deletes the first letter of the file name and marks the space as available for use when needed, this goes way back to DOS days and is why recovery programs can work. Sometimes defragmenting the HDD or Partition moves enough files around to overwrite deletions. There's usually two types of formatting available when installing Windows over a previous install, the Quick version doesn't seem to wipe everything out while the Full version should. For a truly clean HDD I'll use a partition deleting program such as GPARTED which then gives the installation clean slate to start just as it has with a new out-of-the-box HDD.

Hi there, I just thought I would add my suggestion.
There is another utility you might want to look into, it is a free utility known as Hard Disk Scrubber.
The reason I am recommended it is because it will clean the "free space" to Department of Defense standards if you use the Ultra settings. It can be used to wipe an entire hard drive or, in your case, render all the old data now in free space as close to unreadable as possible. It will rewrite the entire free space sections with 1s, then 0s, then 1s, then 0s again. It can do this as many times as you set it to, the website is excellent at showing a visual and read along guide for the program.

You can always recover deleted files from a restore point that is dated prior to the deletion.

Another simple option is to use the cipher command from an elevated command prompt to scrub the free disk space (thereby overwriting the previously deleted/formatted files) with 0's, 1's then 255's. The principle is the same as using 3rd party tools.
