Correcting faulty My Documents move

    It's no bother. :)

    As a test, change the data value for the Personal key in your registry screenshot to this below to see if that does the trick. Even though you changed your user name, the original name is still tied to the account.

    C:\Users\My Documents\Documents
      My Computer

    I did that - no difference that I could see. Used both My Document (as per the other entries) and My Documents.

    I think we can probably call this closed unless you have any other suggestions?

    If you haven't already, see if restarting the computer after that change may sort it. I've noticed that sometimes it may take a bit before it actually changes to what it should be with the "my" for some reason.

    Restarted a couple of times but have now left it and will try again tomorrow am - I am a bit ahead of you time wise :)

    If it works, then it'll be fine as is.

    If you like, you could also create a new user account to use instead.
