It's against Forum Rules for us to discuss methods of bypassing passwords.

How did you log on yesterday?

My nephew moved in with us and i went into set up parental controls, and I changed my administrator password word and forgot next day
I guess short of sending back my pc or buying some sort of disk im locked out.
Last year my nephew crashed our laptop ie; the parental controls

I don't think so. You can even find a password resetting tutorial on the tutorial section- Password Reset

However i would suggest using "Trinity Rescue Kit" which is easier.

This looks cool. Does it handle W8 UEFI secure boot etc..?

Edit: I found this blog and it makes me think W8 changes everything.

You log on with one of your other administrator accounts and remove the password.

Okay, sorry. That was partly in jest. Personally I have 5 user accounts on my machine, 4 of which are admins. I store the passwords on a piece of paper (you'd be surprised how secure that is!).

Barring that, you should be able to create a new user from the install disks if you still have them, by (unfortunately) re-installing with the "repair" option. If memory serves, you can create a user during the installation process.

I could be wrong though ...
