Im sorry,i didnt realise you were being exaggerating.

Im not calling you stupid, but in retro-spect,you came here for adice i take it on your problems, you got answered, and you thought it was complicated.

I.E You had no knowledge how to fix it while for some it was an easy fix. These same people repair pc's and install new OS's etc on old machines for a living, its their job, they do not sit at a computer all day for the fun of it lol:)

If your the big end bearings in your engine went and you went onto a website and asked how do i fix it, you would be told to remove the engine, remove the sump, manifold, oil pickup, head, cams, pistons and rods, replace bearings and check for excess damage on pistions/rings/cylinder and put back together most people would **** themselves when its not really that hard if you are willing to learn, but you would bring it to a mechanic.

Bring your pc to a pc store to be fixed is the same thing,id say if you brought it tp a PC store, told them what was wrong, ask them to fix it and you would get Win7 working like you want it.

Im sorry, but it just seems like you were out of your depth and now your blaming the operating system.

Can i ask you,did you install the original XP?

Back to Vista! Id anticipated Windows 7 RC with relish, looking forward to improved speed, slick interface, new features. I now read all the many accolades in this and other forums with little cheer. All went well with the upgrade to my laptop (HP DV6680, Core Duo T7250, 4GB), everything...
