misplaced user file

    misplaced user file


    hi!
    my admin user files were accidentally dragged into another folder .when ever i try to log in my admin account there is an error missing user files and when ever i try to put that file back from my standard account admin password is need which does not work due to missing files .
    plz........help!

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

    You could download and burn a Linux CD like ubuntu and stick it in your DVD drive and let it boot from it and select Try Ubuntu without any changes to your computer and then go into the file system and put your file back where it belongs.

    Do you have a restore point from just before the files got moved? If you are way Linux phobic, it might be easier to boot to a command line and just invoke System Restore. Otherwise Bongo's solution should allow you to move the files no problemmo. :)
