Laptop Crashes at Startup when Microsoft logo floats around
A couple of months ago my laptop started crashing during boot while the Microsoft logo floats around. If turned it back on a couple of times it would eventually boot up, but each time i turned it off I would get the same issue, it wouldn't boot up, but would eventually after a couple of turn ons.
I reinstalled windows but still got that same issue after a fresh installed, so I checked out my HDD with the Seagate Tools and it reported there are bad sectors in the boot that could not be repaired so I presumed this was the issue, so I sent off my Seagate Momentus XT 500GB as its still in warranty.
Just got a new HDD back from Seagate, installed windows, my apps and windows updates (but no drivers yet, or personal files restored) but some of the updates failed while restarting so it reverted the changes. Booted it up and it was fine. Booted it up again this morning and again it wont boot and crashes while the window logo is floating around. It also wont boot from Windows install disk, gets passed loaded the files, but when trying to boot again crashes at the windows logo.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks
