    Setting up a user account password?


    Good idea or not? Also what if you forgot your pass then how can you get back on your account?

    Log in through admin account and change pass for your user account? Or what?

    I keep all my passwords in a Rolodex just in case I forget one.

    Without a password anyone with physical access to your computer can do whatever they want. In a business environment a password is essential. In a home setting this is less so but still recommended.

    A password that is written down is not ideal but far better than having no password at all.

    For security it is always recommended to assign a password to the Administrator account. This is more important even then for your own account.

Setting up a separate user account

How would I go about setting up a user or guest account so that the person using it can't see or access anything in the admin account? i.e. when that person logs on they would only have access to their own files and not see anything else. thanks
