    shell32.dll died/theme install fail/LOCKED UP...FreeHugs

Just got a new TV in here and the white was blinding so I DLed a dark theme and YES, I saw that it said MAKE A BACKUP... I've never backed up and my impulsiveness took over. I'll be backing up from now on.

So I used "Windows Theme Installer" on the "Life" theme and right after clicking install things went bad...now If I open Firefox I get "Couldn't load XPCOM", if I open WMP It instantly crashes, Skype says "failed to load shell32.dll", Internet Explorer says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application." Waaay over my head.

I can't open ANY folders, they don't crash, they just stay open with a square boarder and nothing inside of it and I can't close it. Can't get online. I'm holding back the panic...

I hate not being able to figure things out. I have my new shell32.dll and explorer.exe, used this guys tutorial to replace shell32.dll...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FT42A6iYWj8...Once I did that though and installed the new shell32.dll...that's when EVERYTHING(Internet/music/video) stopped working. To be clear, after the theme installer failed and caused the explorer crash, I then replaced the modified shell32.dll with a new one, I did not replace explorer.exe. Then everything shit out.

So I replaced the shell32.dll with a fresh one and I'm still locked up. I don't know if there is more I must do to shell32.dll? If not then I'm guessing it's explorer.exe? Since...it's explorer that's crashing?
I'm on my laptop right now and I have the new explore.exe on here. My initial question was going to be, how can I get the new explorer.exe from my laptop to my desktop computer if It wont access the internet? I can't burn them to a cd, I just put a CD in and it yelled at me. Can I somehow wirelessly connect to my desktop WITHOUT opening any explorer windows and place explorer.exe on the desktop?...haha

I'm hoping there are hundreds of different ways to fix this and I'm just not aware. I just put so much work in on some things, I'm going to be really butt hurt if I lose my hard drive. Any help would be awesome! Thanks, Tim.

EDIT: Got it going...for other stupid people...If this happens to you try to run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker This instantly fixed all my issues(on the PC). Be careful depending on your system because it will restore your files to default settings. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A System Restore might have fixed this as well. Might being the operative word of course :)
