    How to recover win 7 password


    I have an hp pavilion laptop, when I purchased it I password protected it. Shortly afterwards I purchased and Ipad and quit using my laptop. Recently got the laptop back out and started using it again, but I have forgotten the password I set it up with. I can still use it because it has a fingerprint reader. But I would like to create a new password that I can remember, so far I cannot figure out how to do it because it continues to ask for my old password. Is there a way around this or am I just screwed and have to do a complete restart.
