    User Accounts Scrambled

Something happened, I've no clue what. I have 2 main user accounts. The main account is an admin account. I'm the only one that uses this computer. There is also an iPad account that's used solely to sync my pad. It's booting to the ipad account now and if I try to change that it's asking for my main account password. This account never had a password. So I can't get into my main account. This isn't good cuz QuickBooks is run under that account. I run my business on QB so I "need" access. The only thing different is I had the shop swap graphics cards today. When I got it back it was working fine It was just after a few hours that this popped up. Sorry this is so scrambled, my brain is scrambled.
    Any suggestion's?
    Tnx,
    Dusty

    Hello Dusty,

Are you able to log out of the iPad account, then select to log in to your administrator account?

Yes, to a point. I can "switch users" but then it asks for the account password. That's where I'm stumped, this account never had a password. I can pin point when this started happening. I did the "switch user" to get into my iPad account. I did some small additions to the music and then logged out. That's when this whole mess started. Sorry, I need to clarify here. I can access the "switch user" screen but at startup my "dusty Admin" account is not visible. The startup screen shows accounts, one is the "ipad user" the other is "standard user". Originally the startup screen had the accounts "Dusty-Admin" & "ipad user" I've messed up bad on occasion but I have no clue what i did this time. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Tnx,
    Dusty

If you like, you should be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this happened to undo and hopefully fix it for you.

If ipad account is admin account then, you can reset the password for other accounts. Also you can enable the hidden admin account if required !

    Re:

I went back as far as I dared with system restore. I'll try once more going back before the new Nvidia driver install. If that doesn't cut it I'll have to bring it down to the local tech guru. The holiday weekend is fast approaching andf I'm gonna need Quickbooks to run credit cards.

The iPad account is a "Standard User"

Thanks everyone for all your efforts, it's appreciated.
'Till I screw something else up, Thanks
