    Black screen before BIOS startup.

I was using my PC doing everyday stuff, when out of nowhere my screen just went black, my music was still playing, but my screen was black. Upon restarting my computer manually it black screened yet again, this time right after showing me my RAM amount (just before the BIOS). I took apart the tower and proceeded checking if my graphics card maybe overheated, let it cool down for about 2 hours, put it back together and still had the same problem. I've tried spamming the F8 button right before the bios, but all I get is a black screen.
Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

F8 usually comes into play right after the computer's beep or while the brand/OEM logo is on or fading and after the BIOS Setup has been closed. Is the video an onboard adapter or a plug-in PCIe or PCI card?

The problem is that I don't get the beep sound, and I've got an Nvidia GeForce 9600 1gb graphics card.
