Seeing all files without folders or subfolder windows 7?

    Hi everyone,
I've had a mac for the longest time and iphoto is starting to drive me nuts. I've made the switch to windows 7 and love it.

I'm trying to organize all of my photos but when I exported all my photos from my mac it created all of these wierd folder and subfolder names that make no sense. I want to organize all of my photos into folders by month and year but I don't want the random folders within folders.

I know you can type in .jpg or .mov etc to show all of these specific file types within a folder but my iphoto library had all sorts of extensions like .mp4 .png etc. I have 10,000 photos and I want to make sure that every photo is account for.

I'd like to find a way to click on my photos folder and then show all items with folders EXCEPT the folders themselves, then I can click and drag these files into one folder and organize them from there by date.

Someone please help me if there is any way to do this!

    Thanks!

UPDATE: It's called MY PICTURES folder. I'd like to see all pictures and videos, but none of the folders and subfolders within MY PICTURES. Just the photos and videos themselves in one giant list of all 10,000.

    Thanks!

    Possible Solution

If you like you can install this:

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition Free Download

It's no longer supported and can only be used 25 times maximum.

If you decide to use it run the program and choose File> Get Photos.

It will find video formats like mp4 along with photos - use Get Photos from files/ folders

If you want more scope choose Get Photos> By Searching

    Choose Browse

Select where you want to look and import the results.

    To view:

    Click Photo Well

    Click View> Arrange by date

Use the Ctrl and arrow keys or Ctrl+Shift+Click to select multiple items and copy them wherever you like.

    Try using the wildcard

If you type "*.jpg" (no quotes) in the search box, you should only see files that names ending in ".jpg".

There were no folders in the results.

I created a folder called folder.jpg and ran the search again.
It didn't appear in the results.

If I performed the search without using the wildcard (*) folder.jpg appeared in the results.

Also, have you tried using the "Group by" or "Sort by" options?
