W7 Prof 64 bit
Now that I have installed W7ProX64 I noticed

that my system is using about 900MB of memory just to run W7.

Do you folks have this amout of memory be used too?

Windows 10 Pro (x64)

You have almost 1 TB of RAM? :O
And I thought Windows 7 x64 was limited to 192 GB.

With my average apps open mine is idling at just under 3gb used. Good thing I have 8gb.

Windows 7 will normally show approximately 45 - 55% of memory in use during normal running. This is nothing to be worried about but is a sign that windows is actually working as designed.

The system is set-up to load memory with those items which are likely to be used next based on your actual usage. If anything requires the memory needed this will be freed by the system without any intervention required.

The thing is that unused memory is wasted memory so the systems tries to more efficiently use the memory available

Something I Have Noticed
It seems that 90% of the people on here who have a GFX Badge also have a Sig made by someone else. I find that very strange. Could someone elaborate for me?

Something I've noticed?
I don't know if this is a PCIe thing but its something I noticed with my 220GT. No video card BIOS message during the POST. It goes straight to my motherboard BIOS screen. I don't remember ever having a PCI or AGP card that didn't show a BIOS screen first thing and then pass off to the motherboard...
