My administrator account is unable to install programs

    Hey,

I have been searching thru the forum and didn't really found what i was searching for so sorry if i overlooked a thread about this.

So as the title says I can't install programs , been trying to install Java and it just gives me "access denied", also tried other programs just giving a failed to install error/message.
I have done a SFC with nothing to be found, done a virus scan,... After that i activated the hidden admin account and i am able to download from there.
But is there a possibility i could fix the problem on my main account ? so i won't need to change accounts.

    Thanks in advance for helping!

I usually do the offline installer bit, save the full file to the Downloads Folder then right-click to choose Run as administrator. I prefer the offline files stored on a USB Thumb/Flash drive as I never know if a client has a fast-enough connection to save time.

Work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 starting with Malwarebyte scan, SFC, establish a Clean Boot, utilize System Resources to check for problems.

You can also establish a new Admin user account to see if it performs correctly and then move the files over to it, make sure all Programs work before deleting the old Account, rehiding the Hidden Admin which should only be run by Pro's.
