You said that you have patched you system files for enabling aero. Which violates Windows EULA.
You can upgrade to Home Premium to get Aero feature.

    Use Microsoft recommended antivirus softwares
Or use Microsoft Security Essentials for free.
Scan throughly to check for viruses.

Monitor your system status while browsing through Task Manager and Resource Monitor. Report if you find anything odd.

Malwarebytes is not an AV but an on-demand malware scanner offering real time protection which is mainly recommended for those who are regularly infected. So I would install Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows as a good lightweight AV to stand guard.

Since you've admitted you patched your system beyond what Win7 allows and run a Registry cleaner which is death to Win7, then I would strongly recommend you start fresh and do a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The blue link compiles everything that works best for Win7 and has been used by a million consumers without a single complaint ever.

You will get and keep a perfect install to the exact extend you stick only with the steps, tools and methods in the tutorial.

I have exactly the same problem. I am browsing on facebook or just running it at the background and suddenly the computer completely freezes. Only help is hard restart - long pressing the power button - of the computer. While browsing on web without running Facebook there is no problem. I even reinstalled my computer (previous installation was two years old so it was time to do that anyway) and the problem persists. The problem is on FF and on Chrome as well. So I think it is some strange chemistry between facebook and my operating system. I haven't find any solution yet and I just hope that switching to win 10 this autumn will solve it.

You could try a clean startup Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
or use another account to check if it does the same
