My sticky notes went off screen? Dell Inspiron 15R, Windows 8

It's strange-- how do I say it-- my laptop has three screens? Like, every time I printscreen and look at the preview I see this:

See, the sticky notes went to the second screen and I can't retrieve them. Someone help? Some of those notes are really important. Thank you!

And also, can you recommend me another sticky note app? This is the second time it happened and now it's getting on my nerves.

Hi shixhun, are you actually using 3 screens or is that just how it's configured without 2 extra screens? anyway, you can go to screen resolution by right clicking on your desktop and screen resolution, this will take you to this screen

I do use 2 screens for my setup so I can show you how to remove a display, first of all, identify which display is the primary by clicking on "identify", this should display a giant number on the screen, take note of that number, secondly, under "multiple displays", a dropdown option for "show desktop only on [number]" will appear, click the one which has your number and this will show the desktop as it's supposed to be on one display and will pull your sticky notes back to your desktop.

    Hope this helps

also, windows 8 is a different beast to windows 7 so we do actually have a forum for windows 8 problems, click this link here > http://www.eightforums.com/

Nope, I'm just using one screen, I just really don't know why it's three...

So, I looked for the "show desktop only on [number]" but I didn't see, so I clicked on "Duplicated desktop on one and two"

And when I did, the "show desktop only on 1" appeared so I clicked it. But when I did, the sticky notes was still offscreen but the screens reduced from 3 to 2:

And oooooh sorry, I'll take note! Thank you as well! I really really really really appreciate it!

Hello Shixhum, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, you should be able to also use the method in the tutorial below to drag your Sticky Notes back onscreen. :)

Nope, that doesn't work. Sticky notes doesn't have a "Move" option when you hover and right click on it.

you do have an option on your list for "disconnect this display". Following the identify rule, try and disconnect the displays you aren't using(click on display you aren't using and drop-down menu disconnect this display), hopefully we can get this back for you.
