The most up to date drivers for video/sound are installed.

I'm going to do a factory image install and start the laptop over in a little bit. Just spent about 5 hours backing personal files up. Going to try these other things and see if that helps. Hopefully the factory image restore will bring things back to how they should be working.

Hard Disk Sentinel shows disk is ok.

Doing Seatools tests right now. (Initial Tests Show Drive is OK. Doing long test 2 hours 16 minutes remaining)
    .
On another note. These programs launched just fine. Even after closing them once.

Maybe you have bad codec packs but that wouldn't explain why games don't start and bad codec packs usually cause BSOD. If none of these helps then I have really no idea what can cause something like this, but post the results. If you do a clean install however then yeah the only thing you just needed to do is checking the HDD and if it's working and your files are safe then clean install will have only good sides... things... good reason for... whatever I'm too tired to finish this sentence.

    Solved.

Factory Image Reset fixed the issue. Only problem now is I have an issue with my video card. When I install initial drivers it shows the Radeon HD 6770M drivers however upon updating the video card goes to a HD 6700M and I cannot get it to go back. But am going to create a new item for this.
