These files say I dont have permission to delete them?
I have 3 files on my media HDD that tell me I do not have permission to perform this action?
How do I override this and delete them?
Thanks.

what files are these?
Have you checked the Security tab to see if you have full control?
Right-click the file, Properties and go to Security Tab.
3 files name this:
24bdcf01ba209bcd7eeed6bab2
cc8c0d8336ca7b74d6553997e0
e5c0c7245f90e4eec2e6b909eca6
The first 2 have an update folder in that I cant open & the 3rd has some AMD64 file in it with a bunch of other files.
All files have "Special Permissions" checked under security.
If you really want to remove them, make sure whatever account you are logged in with has been Given Full control. There are other restrictions eg from folder and parent folder permissions so you just have to sust it out.
Are ALL the acounts/groups in the Security have ONLY Special Permission?
Go into the Advance tab and tell us what it is?
I'm under the main/only account which is the admin and its still not letting me delete them though?
when I go to advance there are 2 things that show up
Administrators
SYSTEM
both say special, not inherited, this folder only
When I double click, they both then show all boxes checked.
Could these perhaps be something from ubuntu?
w7 Administrators Group is not like Xp or any previous OS's where these give up Full Control if you are in it. Where are these files placed, and i'm still not sure what these files are (extension??). Note the exact location of the files and log on as the Root Administrator account and try and delete it.
NB: You may need to enable the root admin, and give it a new password if you don't know what it is.
Try it.
I'm still trying to get this figured out.
Why is this so hard.
I've attached a pic. It says I have full permission, but yet I still cant delete it?

Microsoft willl try to block the site,. just click more details and choose Disregard and Continue.
Funny thing is when I was trying ti install Service Pack 2 in Vista they had free telephone support and the Microsoft representative told me to go there and download it,. because he wanted to delete a file was was locked
