Wireless symbol always loading, all system functions work slower
Hello,
I'm not sure where is the best place to post this, so if I should do it elsewhere, feel free to let me know.
I am having the following issues, together, throughout the last month or so, in Windows 7 on my laptop (a Dell XPS 13) :
- The wireless icon does not display the correct state of internet connection- it continuously seems to be loading, even after connecting to the internet.
- All system functions such as Device Manager, System Information, System Restore, etc., load VERY slowly, if at all.
- On Shutdown, it appears that explorer.exe does not close correctly, and require a froced close.
What did I do:
- I have ran diagnosis from the Windows partition during boot, including repair from the original Windows installation. Nothing came up.
- Virus scanning showed nothing.
- Going back a restore point (using safe mode) sometimes did the trick, but the issue came back after a restart or two.
I searched for similar issues, and could not find the connection between the wireless icon and the other characteristics I described. However, it appears they are all solved together. What should I do?
Thank you.
