Computer loosing video display

I've been having an issue with my PC for the last week. It started with the PC randomly shutting off and when rebooting I would get a message that stated that the PC shut down to prevent damage due surge (ASUS anti surge). In the eventviewer I was showing a event id 41 kernal-power. I was thinking that something was triggering it due to sensitivity and disabled the setting in BIOS.

After disabling the setting it was fine for 2 day, now another issue is has happened twice so far. The last time was when I opened VLC player to play a video and both my screens blackout out while I was still getting audio so the system was running. In the even viewer I have a event id 10, 41, and 6008. Can't seem to figure out what the issue could be...could it be the PSU or GPU that is failing? Not sure if it's related, but I have also noticed that my screen flickers for a second across both screens every few minutes. Or it may be possibly unfiltered power? My PC and accessories are plugged into a power strip which is not a anti surge strip.

I have had the same setup and have changed nothing since the build, almost a year now. The only thing that changed was a fresh install of windows 7. Although it started occurring 2 days prior to the re install. Leads me to believe its hardware related.

When I try to run a stress test with Furmark the program crashes when I run it at 1980x1200 but runs fine at 1280x1024. I am not overclocking my PC.
