Welcome to the forums thebad300!

Can't see the video, not sure if its "me" or not......... at my Sisters house right now and have a terrible net connection. Have you tried a sfc/scannow to check for and possibly repair any corrupted system files? I'll link a tutorial on how to do that if you haven't before. We have some very good tutorials written by some very knowledgeable people here.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

What concerns me most though is the BSOD you recovered from.

Did Malwarebytes or Spybot show any sign of Infection ... ? Realize the Laptop HD was the problem with your BSOD

Sounds like an infection or the actions of an antivirus/malware/spyware program you have on your PC.

What protection do you have on your computer? IE Malwarebytes, Spybot, Avast etc etc.. Name them all.

Can you uninstall Spybot and see if that fixes your issue?

Download Revo Uninstaller and uninstall Spybot. Make sure you delete all entries when prompted.
Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

Then I would use CCleaner to cleanup things around the PC. Run the cleaner AND the registry tool.
*Create a backup of your registry when prompted*
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

After doing that, I would perform a clean startup

(Also make sure you run the sfc scan as suggested by indianacarnie)

My computer has decided to lock all the icons on the desktop e.g. they can not be moved. Some info: Align to or from grid does nothing. Restarting doesn't help. The icons can be selected, used and renamed. I simply can not move them. Never had this happen before.

So I just re-installed my Windows 7 and re-formatted my disk after getting the virus Win32:Sality. However, after I installed my graphics drivers and restarted my computer, the taskbar and icons wouldn't show. I can see my cursor and can move it. I can right click and get options as well. If I...

Run task on unlock after certain period of time
My computer is set to automatically lock after 10 minutes of user idle. I want to run a task when I log on, but only if the machine has previously been idle for an hour. This is so the task only runs when I've actually been away from the computer, not just if it's timed out. Is this possible?
