Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
How can i change .epub file extention back to unkown aplication

haha so today i downloaded a book from the internet, (legal), and i could not open it, cause it said unknown application so i clicked open with and i chose microsoft word 2007. now how do i change it back to unknown application I NEED HELP NOW :P. seriously

Not sure about making it unknown again but you can change which program opens it easy enough with this tutorial Default Programs - Associate a File Type or Protocol and you need a program to be able to read .epub such as EPUB File Reader or any other and when you find the one you like associate it with the epub extension

I was opening a file and selected Open With... And I select adobe. Now everything is trying to open in adobe. Even my internet. Please help, how do I change everything back to what it was. Even when I go to the start, all you see is adobe icons!!

I deleted my .dat file extention, will it still work if I re-create it
So, I was having problems with my .dat file type icon, and in frustration trying to get rid of the icon and start all over again, I deleted the file type in the registry. Will this cause problems in the future, even though I re-added it in the registry? I don't see any problems with them right...

mass file extention renamer?
just wondered if anyone knew of any software out there that would rename a bunch of files... specifically a batch of extensions rather than me having to do it one at a time. lm pretty sure it can be done via the command line. but is there a program that isnt riddled with spam that can do it?
