    Removing Branding on Laptop?

I purchased a sager np2740 laptop online at xoticpc and i recalled there was an option to remove the sager branding. It doesn't cost anything extra. I bought this laptop b/c i needed a fast laptop for online poker thus i7 quad core computer. I also wanted it to be 14.1 and thin and this laptop is that so basically its fast and pretty portable. I'm sure many of you who play games or don't play games probably doesn't want a laptop where its like a big red alien as in those alienware laptops if u use them in a public place. Well i know there are ppl who don't mind it but you probably know what i mean by that.

The gallery picture of this laptop looks pretty nice. I didn't remove the sager branding but thought about it for a bit before i decided not to. The thing is however if i said alienware or msi or those other gaming laptops... i would definitely remove the branding. However, would you say its fine to keep the sager branding? I never knew much about sager, i only had Dell and Asus and when i used my asus 14.1 laptop in public, i always had ppl tell me this laptop is very good looking. It basically looks like a macbook except it isn't and everything about it physically looks great so i wanted to use a sager one similarly although 99 percent of the time, laptop will be inside.

The thing is do most ppl even know what sager is? If i see someone with a sager laptop and as long as it isn't those huge laptops, i would never assume its a gaming laptop. I also read that sager has business laptops and other types in addition to the gaming ones. But I just don't like to have a laptop where if ppl look at it, it looks like a gaming laptop. I don't play any games besides online poker on the computer. I also read that its true that if you remove the sager branding on the laptop, if you were to resell it in the future on ebay etc, the price actually is a bit higher than without the sager logo on the computer?

I'm not 100 percent sure if i could even ask to have the sager branding removed b/c i know they order just went through recently so there might be a chance they could still remove the branding if they are not in the phase yet. I use xoticpc. But would you all say its fine keeping the sager branding on the laptop? It really doesn't look that bad in the gallery pictures. I read a review where someone mentioned their sager laptop and loved it b/c it doesn't look like a gaming laptop and its very fast. That person also removed the sager branding.

To be honest, it looks pretty good without the branding. I don't know but if i see a laptop without any branding on it, such as no dell, asus, hp or another brand, i would assume the laptop is either a very cheap laptop or an expensive customized laptop. Would you agree/disagree with this? But more often than not, i would assume its a cheap one. Has anyone here had a laptop where they removed the brand whehther it was sager or whatever it is? I also assume there is no way i could remove the branding letter on right? Example my asus branding on my laptop at the moment which i currently am using, i dont believe it offered the option to remove the asus log on it and its not possible to do it as its pretty much on the laptop.

Would you remove the brand names from your car, TV, kitchen appliances, etc.? A number of people won't recognize the Sager brand but some of us who have been around the industry awhile know about it. I bought a new HP Notebook a few years ago and opted for the free upgrades of RAM and HDD. I got the confirmation E-Mail the next day, got the shipment notice the third day and had it 5 days later, came directly from the assembly plant in China so I inherited the bragging rights of what went right.

How a laptop looks cosmetically is up to your personal tastes like a car, but what I'd want to know is what was bundled into the factory install. No tech enthusiast will run the factory install because normally it is larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities that interfere with better versions built into the OS. We've helped over a million do a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to reinstall only the OS, which in almost every case gives them the first opportunity to experience the OS's native perfect performance without interference.

Look over the steps above to consider how this could benefit you. If you see bloatware installed and want to try to mitigate it short of a reinstall you can also Clean Up Factory Bloatware.
