I don't know for sure but i would think you have a virus.i have never known a password to expire. I think if i saw that on my PC i would use a CD or DVD Rescue disk. Something like the Comodo rescue Disk Boot from the CD/DVD & let it scan for a virus.it looks like one of them ransom ones to me. I don't know for sure but if it happened to me that is what i would do
    [url]https://www.comodo.com/home/download/during-download.php?
The URL is really long but if you got to the one i put you will see RESCUE DISK on the left at the bottom of the free stuff

Or you could have password expiration activated: Password Expiration - Enable or Disable

    Thank's Tookeri
I never even knew it existed, That's useful to know,Most probably that is all that is wrong.i'm glad you posted that, If it had happened to me i would have reached straight for the rescue disk, & of course the problem would have still been there after.

    You're welcome!

Well, it could still be caused by malware but the OP should check this first.

It's impossible to be aware of all Tutorials on this great site because there's so many :) A tip: go to the Tutorial section of this site and do a search. Or use a custom Google search:

    password expired site:sevenforums.com/tutorials

adding site:sevenforums.com/tutorials will only show results from that site. Very useful!

    Hi
Thanks for the replies. I tried Tookeri's Password Expiration - Enable or Disable option but I cant get to command prompt.

I restarted my computer, pressed F8 and when I chose 'safe mode with command prompt' , it went back to the screen a posted http://www3.telus.net/m1000/passwordlocked2.JPG

I restarted my computer, pressed F11, and it went to system restore. I tried 'restore point' but that didnt work. It went to the photo above

I tried restarting again and pressed F2 and it went to this http://www3.telus.net/m1000/password3.JPG

I didnt know what to do from there.

I really dont want to go to factory settings if I can avoid it

I looked through other solutions as Tookeri suggested but no luck

I go to command prompt but it shows up as the 'password' screen from my original message

You could try this, but I'm not sure if it'll work under these circumstances. Even if you reset the password you might still get this prompt.

There is just one more i can think of and it is the HITMAN PRO with KICKSTART, it will boot up your machine into windows bypassin everything else & give you a set of tools to use that are meant to be familiar to everyone,i have never used it but i keep it on a flash drive just in case. you can read about it here:
HitmanPro.Kickstart - Anti ransomware, politievirus, bundestrojaner, Reveton, BKA, GVU - SurfRight

    www.surfright.nl/en/kickstart

it did not seem to show the URL properly

I just thought. if you do use the Hitman Pro with Kickstart you might need to make sure you set in your BIOS for it to boot from USB Flash Drive, i have a sony vaio & it will just do it, I also have a Toshiba That will not Boot from USB unless you put the USB to the top of the boot order list.

Im not sure what to do on that link.

(This is copied from from the link . . . )

(Windows 7) System Repair Disc - Create

    Let's get Started!

    1) The Boot Priority in the BIOS needs to be set to boot first from the optical drive; insert your Windows disk and re-start the PC.
    - Am I suppose to create system repair disc?
    - Do I do the boot priority?
    - Does the win 7 system repair disc lead to the boot priority direction?

By the way, my other computer in a laptop with Windows 8

    Thanks
