Welcome to Seven Forums Jim
A Guy
I am a retired surveyor with a small home network:- 3 Win 7 PC, 1 Macbook, 4 Ipads, 4 phones, (we have some adult children in the house) mostly wifi'd through a Netgear CG3000V2 which is about to be replaced with an NBN upgrade. Our Epson xp100 network printer is plugged into my Win 7 box due to logistics in the household and when anyone else prints to it, adobe or some other program overwrites my screen, usually when I am half way through typing a word. Can I set something to keep my work on top? or maybe something to keep the printing in the background.
Welcome to Seven Forums Rusty40 I suggest you post the same question in a forum that will get more looks, such as

Aguy thanks. I was about to do that when the welcome message popped up. I have not looked around he forums much yet and don't find things intuitive, but I will get there.
Hi everyone! Mitch Putz here. so glad to find this forum. No problem with my PC yet, thanks God. Just want to prepare ahead just in case something comes up based from your experiences. looking forward to contribute some answers too.
A lot of my friends ask me why do i still use Windows 7. well basically, it is almost junkfree and not confusing. however, i read in one of the articles online that it has just one year of support left. come 14 January 2020, extended support will be no more. is that true?
