Hello everyone!
OMG! I thought I was alone in the world. I'm a retired PC tech stubbornly clinging to Windows 7 (Enterprise, 32-bit). I have a small, home network with 5 PCs--three Dell Optiplex 780s and two Thinkpad T61s. I hate forced obsolescence and will hold out against the Borg (MS) as long as I can. I will keep running Win7, continuing to tweak it so it does what I need it to do, having just added a USB 3 PCI-E card and a high-speed WiFi dongle. I'm happy to have found other people suffering from my same affliction.
Hi my name is Metropolis and italian Boy. Thanks for you support
Good afternoon:
My Win 7 Pro states I have a phantom copy. I'm unable to upload the product key. Any suggestions

Hello, haven't been here in awhile (I never posted much) but I'm glad to see the forums are still here :). I miss Windows 7 and the GUI, especially when I upgraded to 11 and saw the new desktop context menu. Thankfully there was a registry hack to fix it back. Will be looking to purchase two older computers soon with Windows 98 and Windows 7 to play some retro games so thought I sneak back around.
Don't know why I can't thank more than one poster!!! So Thank You. Most is working there is an issue with creating a "New Folder" I can create it, but unable to rename it. I don't use this unit "online" it is mostly used to play DVD/CDs as this is the only thing I have with an appropriate driver. I have Win 11 on the PC I'm using now. I could not drag and paste your link to the questionable unit. I had to load Win forum on a thumb drive and then take the link to another Win 7 PC to load it. This will be my last Windows product. Will be switching to Apple.
