Disk partition has no volume (Annoying)

    after i type "create partition primary"

    i get..

    Diskpart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of
    an I/O device error.
    See The system Event Log for more information.

    If seaagte disk ... download seatools and test the disk for hardware problems. SeaTools for DOS | Seagate

    yea, how do i run the program when i cant boot up at all i can only get in cmd using installation iso

    Burn the ISO. Just burn it on a healthy machine. Boot the sick machine from that DVD.

    i dont have anymore clean dvd's i can use to burn i have usb drives

    and i just learned that when i tried to install windows, i wanted to load a driver and browsed and found out that the documents and other folders were there and also a boot drive (x:) and a local drive (c:)

    before i tried installing any windows, that never showed up

    X drive is the ramdrive (loaded form install DVD). Document and other folders?????? You did "clean" the internal drive so they must be gone forever!

    yes i agree but it was the regular libraries-documents, music, pictures, videos

    but im using the seagate for DOS and doing a long test, its taking a long time i will post the results when its done
