    Uncooperative printer

I just connected an ancient Lexmark E310 laser printer to my computer using a parallel to USB 4 port hub. The computer recognizes the printer and I downloaded the proper driver from Lexmark, but I can't get the darned thing to print. I tried switching to four different USB ports on the hub to no avail. What am I doing wrong? It worked fine last Christmas but doesn't want to cooperate now.

Did you use windows update to install the driver for the printer? If so, its possible that windows update might not have installed the correct driver. You might have to try going directly to Lexmark's support site to look for the driver for it.

I did not use Win Update and went to the Lexmark site for the E310 driver.
