USB keyboard doesn't work before Windows login (can't access BIOS)
Hi guys, I've been at this for three hours. I hope you can help and I'll get to the point:
- Need to access BIOS. USB keyboard (Logitech G110) not recognized until the Windows login screen loads.
- No PS/2 ports (and blast it, I have a PS/2 keyboard that I can't use). Cannot get a USB->PS/2 adapter at this time.
- I reset CMOS and disconnected the hard drive. This produced two lines saying there was no boot disk, did not drop me into the BIOS.
- HP Pavilion P6000, model P6220f.
- I have no other USB keyboards available.
- The keyboard doesn't light up until the login screen.
The way these threads seem to go elsewhere is: "Can't get to BIOS with USB keyboard." "Okay, change your BIOS settings to turn on legacy." "But I can't access the BIOS!!!"
I'm trying not to purchase additional computer crap. I accept that there may be no way to do this. Thanks if you can help.
