Beeping and noise from KRK RP6 G3

    Hi all,

yesterday i received my brand new KRK RP6 G3 active monitor speakers.
But when I connect them with my soundcard, M-Audio Fast track, using unbalanced RCA line out, I get very annoying high pitched beep and continues noise.

The beep only occurs when there is a sound (windows, mp3, youtube, doesn;t matter) and after I stopped the sound the beep continues for a few seconds until it stops.

The white noise starts after the first sound windows makes and doesn't stop anymore. When I move the cursor, or scroll down a internet page the noise gets interrupted and it starts crackling a little.

When I connect the speakers directly with my Ipod for example, then there is almost no noise, and 0 beeping.

I have tried to disables as many as possible things in Windows that could interfere.
I also tried a different soundcard and the soundcard of my motherboard. But nothing fixes the problem completely.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forum.

This could be caused by an earthing loop. I am not familiar with these speakers, but is the bass woofer unit separately powered. If it is, does you home power have an earth system & normally has a 3 wired plug. Sometimes too many earth's can cause a loop & it sets up a high pitched noise like a bad feed back in a public address system, or a loud humming sound.

Sometimes you can insert the RCA plug just far enough in to make the centre contact without the outer ring contacting. If this stop the noise then it may be an earthing problem.

Post back & let us know how you get on.
