    Another unsolved access denied

I built a new computer and clean installed windows ultimate 64 bit OS on an SSD. I imaged my previous XP drive (as backup) to new spindle, and then installed the new hard drive into my new Win 7 computer.

Many, but not all, files cannot be updated/overwritten on this spindle owing to access denied.

I am signed in as user with admin privileges.

    I have

taken ownership of every file using takeown but assigned the ownership to the group "administrators"
made sure that the file that cannot be overwritten has the correct rules

    and

I cannot overwrite it even in "run as administrator"

I have attached a printscreen from the security tab of the file that I cannot overwrite.

I must admit that I am stumped, and most of the posts about this subject are not correct.

Well; to solve this; you probably will have to make your actual user name a member of the administrators group. unfortunately windows has this weird default setup upon installation where it automatically prevents access to certain functions even if you are a admin.
