How to re-enable admin rights on Windows 7 Home Premium

I downgraded my personal account from Admin to Standard User, and then I activated the hidden Administrator account. I later decided to disable the built-in elevated Administrator account, but I forgot to upgrade my personal account again.

So now I have only a standard user account on my PC, and it won't let me install or upgrade anything. I basically have no control left on my computer.

So is there any way to reenable the elevated Admin account (or upgrade my personal account to Admin status) from within the standard account?

    Thanks in advance.

You can enable the hidden Administrator account by booting a Windows 7 install DVD/flash drive.

Directions here: User Account Password - Change from WinRE

Actually it's Built-in Administrator - Enable from WinRE

This time create an Admin account before hiding the Built-in Admin again. If you don't trust yourself to use an Admin account which is what Win7 sets up during install, then keep the standard account but I would move everything over to the Admin and delete it. Keeping User Account Controls set to a high setting should be sufficient to alert you if anything tries to run without you knowing.
