WP X5 document to template
I am creating a few documents that have a lot of the same data on them. I would like to create a template of the bare bones document so that I don't have to keep doing the same thing over. Can I do it? How?

WP??? Wordpad?
No way that I can find. What I would do is create a .txt or .rtf file then write a small batch file the user starts. It would copy the .txt or .rtf file you created as the new file then start wordpad with that file as the target. Better yet would be to use Open Office or Libre Office (free equivalent of Microsoft Office). It has the same template ability for it's programs as Office does. |

WP usually refers to WordPerfect. Wordpad is included with Windows and can be considered a lite version of Word, has some functions but not all.
Maybe this will help: WordPerfect Templates -- Saving Your Document as a WordPerfect Template Also check "Saving variables" in WP's Help. This usually is helpful: http://www.wpuniverse.com/vb/ |
