the my pictures folder is now C:\users\len\downloads\dobby. See your first screenshot!

    1. Make folder D:\Dobby
    2. rightclick "My pictures" (so Dobby folder itself in C:\users\Len\downloads) and change the location tab. change location to D:\Dobby\Pictures.
    3. Select "Documents" and "Downloads" folder in c:\users\Len rightclick and cut. Goto D:\Dobby and paste.
Now post registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders again.
Yes, saw that assumed it was wrong.

    1. I made the Dobby folder in D:\

    Now I get lost.

    2. When you say change location to D:\Dobby\Pictures should I make a folder named "pictures" in "D:\Dobby" or will it do it when I relocate it?

    3. lost again, If I cut and paste Docments and download folders from user/len to D:\Dobby won't they be missing from start>len

2-You may choose. Maybe easier for you to make the "pictures" folder first.

3-No cut and paste of those folders is the same as changing the location tab. start->Documents will point to correct location.

    Just try it!

I told you three times to use cut and paste!! don't use the location tab.

D:\Dobby is all DOCUMENTS now? Or all DOCUMENTS and PICTURES?

C:\users\Len\Downloads\Pictures is still the My pictures folder (it has a locaton tab in properties)?
    C:\users\Len\Documents is still My Documents?

C:\users\Len\Documents and C:\users\Len\Downloads\Pictures still exists and are full of documents/pictures?

I can not find anything called C:\users\Len\Downloads\Pictures.

C:\users\Len\Downloads has one dl in it. it has a locations tab.

C:\users\Len\Documents is still there when I start>len or start and pick it from the list under len, it still has the documents in it. it has a location tab.

C:\Users\len\my pictures IS still there when I click start then len however is does not have a location tab and properties > general tab show it being in C:\Users\len.

If I click start then pictures in the list under len the pictures are not in it.

I am not as win7 savvy to know how to fix it but I do believe the issue is
When looking at the shell snap shot,

My pictures isn't C:\users\len\Pictures which I believe it should be but rather,
    C:\users\len\Downloads\Dobby

So how about we just fix that, don't worry yet about relocating it just tell me if I can get C:\users\len\Downloads\Dobby back to C:\users\len\Pictures which I believe it should be.
