    MMC could not create the snap-in. while trying to open the Event Viewe


    I saw in other posts the first step should be:

    SFC /SCANNOW

    I did that and attached is the CBS.log file.

    It said at the end that Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

    I tried rebooting with no luck.

    There are only a few people here who are really experienced in fixing error in the log, if its time critical, I suggest a repair install if you cannot wait.


    I recommend a repair install.
