Possible to Restore Photos/Documents from Formatted USB Or Old Laptop?

I had some files/documents on my usb that i deleted all of them b/c i wanted to wipe everything then do a format due to it most likely have a virus. I had thought i saved certain files into box.com. I only however saved a portion of them and some of them i did not upload it to box.com. This is with my new sager laptop that i deleted those files from in the usb 3.0.

I also had those pictures on my old asus laptop in pictures but i deleted it. I also deleted it from recycle bin. I dont recall how long ago it was but its within the last few weeks.

Is there a way i can restore some of these documents? The thing is its mostly pictures and a few documents that i didn't save which i thought i saved on box.com.

You can try one of the recovery programs, such as the free Recuva. No guarantee that they can be recovered. If the sectors have been written over you can't get them back.

Anything on the drive is considered "data". Whether its photos, music or whatever, its just "data" on a storage device.

I used Recuva on a hard drive that was corrupted (Windows would not load) and I was able to recover a lot of photos I had on the drive. I didn't get them all but I got most of them, along with some other data. I had the drive backed up but the backup program I was using at the time failed me and I wasn't able to recover with the backup. I've since changed to a different backup program.

Is remo recover good? That is what i downloaded at the moment.

So with recuva, can you only search for photos that you saved and then deleted to recycle bin then deleted on afterwards? Thus this way it doesnt search for files like big files or programs u downloaded or even movie files that are big that you downloaded?

I assume i can't search for any pictures i had on it if i formatted it right? Example the currently laptop that i have photos in, i didn't format it yet. But the usb that had pictures, i recently formatted it. That means usb i can't anymore due to me formatting it correct?

Recuva, i clicked pictures. I then clicked my documents and then later recycle bin.

It shows 233gb cluster size 4096 file record size 1024 found 0 files 388,290 files ignored.

Does this mean it can't recover the pictures?

    DiskDigger

You might also want to try DiskDigger and use the "Dig Deeper" option.

DiskDigger | Undelete and recover photos, documents, music, videos, and more!

    Works well on USB's.

So i clicked on a button where it went to look more into it. How am i suppose to see the pictures ? Some of them show the state as excellent whereas others are poor or unrecoverable. Also why do i have photos that are last modified in 2008? I got this laptop in 2010.

Can someone tell me with recuva how can i see the actual photos that are excellent state? I dont see a button or right click for any of that.
