Potential Virus, can't find solution
I went to use my laptop this morning (haven't used it in a couple of weeks), and all my programs were gone. I restarted and it did startup (all my programs were restored), but then it froze after only a few minutes. This happened several times in a row, so I ran Malwarebytes in safemode. It flagged ~25 items, which I removed. One of which is this Yantoo crap.... Every time I restart my computer Yantoo keeps coming back. My computer is no longer freezing but it's running really slow, and the only website I can get to load is Google and Google search pages. I notice on the processes running that they are all *32 and I have 64 bit OS (I know 32 bit can run on a 64 bit machine, and is normal in most instances, but this *32 is on most all of the running programs and I have never seen that happen before). Also of note, when I Google what the specific processes are that are running (from a machine that actually works) they all come up as Vista programs which I find strange (I have windows 7 64, not Vista... I don't think those are the same?). Additionally, most of the running (vista?) programs have multiple instances running (5-10). Finally, I think this is a separate issue, but at times I get never ending popups for a C++ runtime error . These are specifically related to DSupdate, which I think is DELL, and again, I think that this is a separate issue entirely (but I'm not expert).
I feel like this is clearly a virus, but I can't seem to remove it. If its this Yantoo thing, I keep removing it, but then it keeps coming back so clearly it's not being removed completely. Does anyone know what this is and how I can remove it permanently? Thank you.
