    Computer will not boot.

After turning on the computer, it goes into a cycle pattern of trying boot up, but is not successful. Could this be a problem finding the MBR? If so, can it be fixed without wiping out all the data?

OP, need more specifics on the EXACT failure point of the 'boot up'.

If it was no MBR then you would get a can't find operating system error.
