Creating a Admin account and getting my default user.

I just reformatted my pc and reinstalled a new OS. Anyways in my old OS I had somehow managed to active admin account/rights. I remember doing this because I was installing a theme and had to mess around with .dll files in windows folders.

Anyways the reason I want to get the admin account back is to do the same thing and also I dislike having to click on show processors from all users in task manager..

My question is how to active the admin account which lets me do all of this.. And then get rid of the default user account so I don't need have to select between admin and user when I turn on my computer all the time..

    Hope my question was clear.

    Hello Ringo,

If you like, the tutorial below will help show you how to enable the built-in elevated "Administrator" account that you can use when you need full rights and access to the PC.

Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable

The tutorial below is for an elevated Task Manager shortcut that'll open Task Manager with "Show processes from all users" already clicked on.

Task Manager - Create Elevated Shortcut

Next, you can use the tutorial below to set Windows to automatically log on to a user account of your choice at startup.

    Log On Automatically at Startup

    Hope this helps, :)
