Windows Photo Viewer background is slight yellow - affects images

Hi, I noticed in windows photo viewer, the normally white/grey background is this yellowly sandy colour. It slightly affects the image aswell. Nothing else is affected. A few days back I downloaded via windows update a new monitor update for the gl2760 series. It included a new colour file. Is this related? How can I fix it?

    Change Windows Photo Viewer background

    See:

How to Change the Background Color of the Windows Photo Viewer

    Here's how mine looks.

Windows Photo Viewer background is slight yellow - affects images-wpv.jpg

Ignore the Metro Tiles look - I've changed the look of the default WPV in Windows Seven but also changed the background to grey.

Is the WPV background the only color that looks wrong?

I took a prntscr of the image (default win 7 koala to test) when I did fullscreen, and compared it using mspaint to when I had it open in windowed , and the only place where the yellow tint is on the windowed version of wpv.

It is the color profile for the monitor, if you remove that it should go away. Type "color" in the start menu search.

    Check this

    Check this thread:

    Windows Photo Viewer

    See Post #3

Maybe it will provide the answers you're looking for if you wait for the results to be posted.

As for creating a new profile after deleting the one mentioned - I don't believe that will be necessary.
