Erasing all items in "tracing"

Via Windows explorer I find there is section in Windows named "tracing" (C\Windows\tracing).
1- What is the purpuse of that section?
2- Is it OK to erase all items from that section or could it cause any damage ?

Welcome to the forum.

The only advice I will give regarding this kind of thing:
All files and folders in the windows folder and all of it's subfolders should be left alone unless you really understand what you are doing. There are too many ways you can go wrong when deleting things here, with potentially disastrous results.

I agree with the above post, a good rule of thumb to use in these situations is:

If you don't know what it is, you probably shouldn't be deleting it.
