My thread title is: Pinned programs on task bar from bitlocker drive icons do not resolve
Oops. Should have been: Pinned program Icons on task bar from bitlocker drive programs do not resolve
----------------------

Hi. I am using Bitlocker for a laptop drive, which is very secure and works well.

The problem is that there are various programs that reside in that bitlocker locked drive. When I boot up my PC, these pinned program icons on my task bar are just plain vanilla (the drive that they are on - is bitlocked).

After putting in the key, the bitlocked drive unlocks, decrypts and all files are made accessible. The corresponding programs work and are fine, but the program task bar icons do not resolve to be the pretty program icon pictures I am used to. Instead they look like this (like the one circled):

Logged onto Win7 and unlocked the bitlocked drive. This time all the program icons with programs residing in the bitlocked drive resolved themselves. We'll see it this trend continues. That would be good.

 One strange thing is that I posted this same problem in a previous thread on Nov. 11, 2014 here in SevenForums. After a time, it was completely deleted, with no explanation as to why. Weird.

Well it looks like MS has been working on the problem since. That's a good thing.

Not marking it solved yet. I would like to see a trend of these resolving first.

You stated it was deleted and as far as I can tell it wasn't deleted.
