Windows 7: Startup Issues! Windows Won't Boot Up

Bare in mind that all three times I had done the same thing which was reformat the drive, and install the OS, and then updating it.
So, it fails AFTER the updating, every time, but not BEFORE the updating? IF so, try clean reinstall and then do not do any updates -- and see if you can reboot that repeatedly without problems.

Also, you said originally that you could enter safe mode just fine. Did you try that when these failures were happening?

In my experience, the No Operating System typically signifies file system corruption -- which, admittedly, is unlikely for a new drive, but you could try running a Check on the "C" partition just to see if it detects any filesystem errors.

I specifically asked you how the install you did compared to the one compiled in Clean Reinstall Windows 7
which has been used by a million consumers who enjoy a perfect install without a single complaint. I did not ask if you'd done a Clean Install which I'd seen you claim you did. I asked about the quality of the install you did which is paramount.

Not all installs are equal. Those who use XPired methods tend to force a bunch of drivers on the first driver-complete OS which causes problems. Most of those who say they "format" only format C and pay no attention to what is often a rats nest of unneeded partitions. Unless we specifically tell them to delete all of these most never do since they think they're there for a reason. The reason they're there is to mess up an install.

Any data should be backed up according to Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which covers every way users have lost data including a woman who had lost her job because she didn't know Quickbooks stored the company file in the Public Documents folder and forgot to back it up. So, yes, I will always remind to back up files which cannot be said enough.

Thoroughness is another reason why we're #1 tech forums in web history here. Sloppy is not allowed.
