    Files look different

Can anyone tell me why some of my Windows 7 files look like this with the hash mark at the lower left corner? Everything works fine on my computer but it just bugs me and I would like my files to look like they used to without the hash mark.

    Hi KWB, welcome to Sevenforums.

    Do you have Norton 360?

Apparently this slash is from Norton 360.

Sort of an explanation can be found here:
    Solved Gray Forward Slash???

You can disable it by performing the following:
    1) Open Norton 360 window 2) Click on "settings" at top of window 3) Uncheck "backup Status Overlays" and close window Grey slash boxes will be gone when you reboot (or simply log off and log back on)
