Bios resets SATA configuration on shutdown and restart
Hey guys, first time posting here. Got a strange problem with my custom built system that's been going on for a couple weeks now.
Every time i shut down or restart my computer it gives me the error message "Missing Operating System". I fix this by restarting, going into the BIOS, and changing the SATA configuration to RAID. It seems like something is causing the SATA configuration to reset to defaults every time i shutdown or restart. I also have to manually reset the date/time every time i restart or shutdown.
This isn't a huge problem, just an inconvenience as I have to do this every time it shuts off so I've been leaving it in standby for the past couple days. I have Avira Antivirus and Malwarebytes installed with a generally clean system. Any help would be appreciated as I have only a basic understanding of BIOS and I can't think of anything that would cause this to happen. Also, I can provide any specs of my computer if requested.
Thanks for your help!
