SXS.DLL Replacement in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Can you guys please help me?
I have a custom-built desktop with a 2013 ASUS motherboard and 3 large HDs. I installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on it last year and I have recently noticed that there are "Audit Failures" in the Windows Security Log shown in the Component Services. The error messages says:
Code Integrity determined that the page hashes of an image file are not valid. The file could be improperly signed without page hashes or corrupt due to unauthorized modification. The invalid hashes could indicate a potential disk device error.
File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume6\Windows\System32\sxs.dll
Well, I have a good "sxs.dll" as I have installed another bootable Win7 Pro in another HD just in case.
However, this specific file is being used by the Windows 7 Pro operational system even when booting in Safe Mode! Therefore, I am being denied access and cannot replace it with the good version. I have created bootable CDs but unfortunately they are all 32 bits. Any good suggestions, as I am worried about being snooped?
