    Programme alert on start up

    Hello:
I'm using Windows 7 professional and have a problem on start up. I use WinPatrol and every time I open my computer I get this programme alert from Win Patrol. There is no description found and there is no company name included with the programme but there is a number on this alert but it seems to change when ever this alert pops up. Right now the # is 1418580776. On the right side of the alert there are links that tell you to delete, properties, find more info on programme but these instruction don't work. I click delete programme but it keeps coming back every time I open computer. I can't find this programme anywhere in the start up because there is no company name or description. What to do?

Go into clean boot mode. If the problem stops, put one program back at a time to find the cause

This is caused by a recent update to Adobe Reader. It ads a random generated number entry to the run once registry key. I've disabled it and finally tried deleting it. Will see if that fixes it.

The best fix is to uninstall Adobe Reader and replace it with something else, like Foxit PDF Reader.

You are absolutely correct. I booted my computer and have the same problem. Let us know precisely what you do to correct the problem, Thanks.
