Well, gregrocker, I've copied the files to three different disks, now, and all three destination disks claim to have 388GB copied to them, both during the transfer window and when they're resident on the opened disk, while the source disk claims 484. On the Properties windows of all three destination drives AND the source drive, the "size on disk" entries are identical. (I'm assuming that the "size on disk" represents the 1000 = 1024 business.) Right there, I'm flummoxed, so I added up all the bytes from the "size on disk" Properties windows of all of the folders on one of the destination drives, and they summed to 451GB. Either there's something so basic about what's going on that it's transparent to me, or...I don't know what. If you've a mind, drop me a post. I handle "YOU'RE CRAZY" quite well. And thanks.
