It's not a particular site with an issue of being unable to selective copy and paste....I cannot do this on ANY site! Perhaps this is a dead end now since Tookeri also said they could not do this in Mozilla Firefox.

What version of Firefox do you have? Does this work in Word and Chrome or IE?

I have the latest Firefox, i.e 34.0. I would want the selective copy and paste facility to work within Firefox since this is the browser I use. Yes I have Chrome but rarely use it and so would not want to change browsers just to use the selective copy and paste facility. If it is no go in Firefox then so be it.

I was searching for lyrics and remembered this thread so I tested again and it worked. Firefox 34. So it seem to work after all, but not on that many sites. So if you need to test this try this site: TOVE LO LYRICS - Habits

The easiest way is to press and hold CTRL while using the mouse to select multiple text blocks. Release CTRL when you're done. Then press CTRL+C to copy all selected text.

Don't know why it worked on that site. I've tested with JavaScript both on/off but no difference.

Just read a new blog post about this: Select and copy multiple text bits in Firefox in one go - gHacks Tech News

Summary: It's a known Firefox bug (that apparently never gets fixed!) that you can't "multi-copy" text from table cells. Using tables and cells however is unfortunately a common way to build web pages and it's not often that easy to tell if a web page is using it only by looking at it

Ah thanks for the explanation. Guess this is the end of the road then on trying to solve this problem.
