Profiles Screwed, documents being saved under a different user.

First time post so treat me gently :)

Ive spent a lot of time creating a build for our company, I have deployed the image to just over 400 PC's so am reluctant to start over.

Hopefully all you guys & gals out there can help.

Here's the problem.

We have just discovered that when user 'B,C,D,E' etc logs in & opens or creates a document, that documents Author is user 'A'.

Ive stripped all references to User 'A' from registry & deleted user 'A's profile but still user's docs always say authored or edited by user 'A'.

Little background, when I created the image I asked different specialist within the company to logon & install specific software for their dept. User 'A' was one of them!!

Any insights into where I can look would be appreciated.

It appears to be only affecting MS Office docs.
